Thanks Yanick!

I was walking through the park the other day chatting with my friend Yanick. Doesn't that sound nice? Actually, I was walking while pushing Blake uphill in the stroller while 38 weeks pregnant Yanick pushed 2 year old Teyha in her stroller. Jackson's stroller position has been bumped by Blake, so he helped push. It was quite a scene.

We still managed to have a conversation about blogging. Thanks to a multitude of online friends who keep me in the shopping loop as well as my own insatiable shopaholic personality, I have become the go-to person for my in real life friends when it comes to consuming. Yanick suggested that I start a blog about it. I must admit, I still have some hesitation. I don't want to come across as one of "those moms," you know the kind, all pretentious and holier than thou.

I thought it over and decided to start a blog anyway. I do have lots of things to share, and I figure hey, someone wants to think I am pretentious then so be it!

Thanks again to Yanick for the idea. I spent lots of time on the couch nursing my newborn these days, so I have lots of time to think of things to say.
